The greatest feeling working for a small business is knowing that your work directly contributes to the success of the company. The greatest experience working for this general contractor was getting to see first hand all that goes into running a business and the part that each employee plays. I was charged with everything from marketing strategy/implementation to content creation to bookkeeping and HR. I basically did everything but swing a hammer. And I occasionally did that, too.

During my employment, I not only oversaw marketing, I also integrated cloud-based project management software to improve efficiency, developed an employee handbook, and established an employee benefits program. All of these helped the company to double annual revenue during my employment.
